Meet my bestfriend: Vibha Upadhyay

this is dedicated to you, because since you deactivated your facebook,

that leaves me with very little option to reach you,

and I think that this would be better shared on my blog, than on our email;

so this is for you.

what can I say,

Vibha, we have been bestfriends for almost 5 years.

Though, not my longest friendship,

it is one of my very valued rapport.

Our friendship has been one of the biggest rollercoasters over the past years,

and it's insane at how much childish (but fun) drama it had in the early days.

YOU, missy, have been there for me in my greatest challenges.

My first breakup,

you were there for me, even when I was a little bitch.

Endlessly encouraging and supporting me througout.

I remembered thanking you a whole bunch,

and until this day,

I don't stop thanking you,

because that's how much you've given me in our friendship.

My insecurities;

I remember those late nights where I would cry from getting anonymous hate,

and you were that one person I turned to,

regardless of the short distance of different schools,

you were still there to strengthen me with words.

Thank you.

Even until today,

7892.46km apart, 4 hours difference, our contrasting hectic lives,

we're still in touch.

And not only in touch, but you're still here for me throughout my challenges.

How did my 13 year old self describe you?

Vibha, you truly are an amazing person.

A very encouraging and supportive friend.

I can never not be thankful.

Honestly, I am so happy God blessed me with a friend like you.

In everything I do,

you always look at the best part about me.

Just somehow, and somewhat,

you show such a great love in our friendship.

Just recently, for my birthday, you gave me 17 reasons about what you love about me.

Heck, that's a whole lot.

I don't think I could ever find THAT many reasons to why I love somebody,

and describe it in long paragraphs.

So excuse this birthday wish :C

People would always tell me how I'm so good at talking,

how I'm great at giving advice, how I'm the best counsellor, 

how I'm really good at writing, expressing, etc.

And yea, sure, I am very grateful to have attained such a trait,

but as I look back, a big part of when I found this hidden trait in me,

was influenced greatly by you.

YOU help me see the good in me,

and God placed you in my life for a greater purpose,

a blessing.

You are a blessing to me.

Needless I mention those times where you really relate to me;

On the day of my purity ring dedication,

you cried with me.

Even just my breakups, you were there to cry with me.

Just reading my mails on how I feel for somebody makes you cry.

Are you not the bestest friend someone would ever want?

So there's a part of a verse that I read awhile back, that reminded me of our friendship.

"..for he loved him as he loved his own soul"

- 1 Samuel 20: 17

Our friendship, the love you've shown for me through those very encouraging and supportive words,

your determination to strengthen me emotionally, to continuously support me in my faith and belief,

the foundation of our trust, the intentions of our friendship,

the pain, joy, blessing and challenges we both share,

reflects in this verse.

Thankyou for showing me a great love in this friendship.

You are genuinely a great friend towards me.

The sweetest thing ever

I am in such a happy mood right now! GUESS WHAT. 

My dad came home, poked my arm and pointed at the table. 

There I saw, lay a parcel.

My. first. parcel. eveeeeeeeer.

Yep, so as you can tell, I was pretty excited. On the inside. :B

Honestly, I am really touched.

Firstly because I received a parcel.

Secondly, It's from them! 

Thirdly, the gift they sent.

I feel so blessed to have met these two amazing guys in my life.

We became close starting last year, and although it wasn't such a long time,

I feel so joyful during the times I got to spend with them.

They're both really amazing people.

I'm so happy that God sent them both into my life to help encourage my walk with him,

and to bless me in many aspects of my life through them.

Charlie and Kenny are both really humorous,

they have the cutest smiles,

great sense of style,

and really good hearts.

They are both so adorable, I just had to show their faces.

Their smiles are cute, aren't they? :3

And hey, they're single ;D

Honestly guys, Thankyou so much for thinking of me.

You guys have played a big part of my life last year in making it wonderful!

I feel really privileged to be able to meet such people as yourself.

You both have changed in so many ways, Im so very proud of you both!

You guys are both very intelligent people, with a heart that loves people.

You both have such a huge potential in inspiring people, and to bring them to Christ.

You sure did inspire me.

To be honest guys, I drifted away from God a few months back.

And I keep telling myself that I'll try to, but I don't.

When I opened the parcel, I did not expect anything like such.

It really touched my heart, this gift, and you both.

You guys inspire me, and Thankyou for looking out for me.

I will try my best to commit in reading my new gift and growing in my walk with God.

Also Charlie, thankyou for the lovely advice of  "Don't do things you can't take back and regret".

It really speaks to me, and I have to review my actions and think.

I love you both so dearly, thankyou for this. 

I love it. It's one of the best surprise and gift I have received.

It's so meaningful and shows how much you both care for me -

Goodbye 2012

Good day last day of twenty-twelve!

Honestly, 2012 has been such an eventful year for me! I spent my first half of the year in my beloved New Zealand, and the other half of 2012 - migrating back to my home-town! I honestly believe that 2012 is a year that was filled with love, change, trials, and reunion.

I think it's such a blessing that I got the chance to live in New Zealand for almost 5 years, and returning back to my hometown after 10 years! It's such a life-changing experience for me this year. I can honestly say it's my favourite year out of my sixteen years of being alive.

I have met so many people that have impacted me in many different ways, and have changed with so any along the way. For the first half of the year (in New Zealand) I got to be closer friends with people such as Kenny, Charles, Samantha and Jason. Had the chance to re-unite with my older friends whom I kinda stopped becoming friends with, such as Winnie and Sandra. And I got to meet new people, and got to know some people from my year a bit better (Hui Ling, Lily, Matthew, James, Jacky, Sahil, Jackson, etc).

I really enjoyed this year, and am very happy and blessed to be able to meet and be friends with these people. I'm also very thankful that I am still friends with many of my closest friends from intermediate, it's kinda like childhood friends, and they all mean so much to me.

I cannot be much happier being bestfriends with these girlies for such a long time! Katie, Helen, Steph, Bertha and Vibha! They all play such a huge role in my life; supporting me and constantly being there with me. And my youth in New Zealand, Krave. You guys are such a big part in my life! Thankyou to my leaders, Pauline, Mark, Isaac and Venus for looking out for me :) I miss youth! And I can't wait to be back.

The second half of my year (migrating back to Malaysia) - I got to meet many different and amazing people. I didn't use to like Malaysians (even though I am one myself). But I feel so silly to have felt that way. I mean the people here are so friendly and amazing, I really do love it here.

During my time here, I've met 3 super awesome people that never fail to make me happy. Marcus, Elve and John. I turn to them in everything, and they're the best people I know here. They make my life so so much happier, and I'm honestly really happy God has blessed me with such amazing people.

Along the way, I am very glad that I got to re-unite back with my best cousins Sheena and Sheleen, every moment with them is such a joy and I just miss being with them! Also having friends like Nath, Sasha, Aaron, the Hengs, and Kimberly; They all have played a big part in making me feel welcome. And I'm really thankful for my school friends, How uei, Hao jie, Natalie, Seulki, Foo, Isaac; They all have been really good friends to me during my time in school and outside of school.

So I really am thankful to God that he has blessed me so much, and that I could look at this change as a blessing, instead of something bad. He is truly amazing!

I look forward in spending 2013 with all these people in my life - both in New Zealand and Malaysia.

Thankyou God for blessing me abundantly! And Everyone that surrounds me, you guys are amazing! Have a blessed New Year, and have a positive year ahead of you! :)
